Lately my name is being thrown around a lot by whiners who like to use words like "botting" without any idea of what botting actually is or why its bad. The funny part is that the people whining about me and dragging my name through the mud are the people who have never taken the time to get to know me or understand how i play. Such as in the case of Yenno these whining children will see me killing a named and what they pass off for a thought process goes something like "I am good at Ryzom, but I cant kill this named. He is not as good as me yet he can. Therefore he is cheating". Since they have no actual grounds to call me a cheater they cling to the association they have picked up on between the word alt and the word bot and proceed to harass me until i ignore list them. This does not bother me because i can state 3 points with absolute certainty. First my advantage comes from being a bloody good gamer and a stubborn bastard, not from the amount of subs I have. Second, you are better off being in my friends list than being in my way. Third, I dont care which you pick.

I have worked and continue to work my ass off daily to play the way I do. You found it hard to master your first dig? Iv done it 7 times. You struggled for months to master your heals? Iv done it 6 times. You hate having to dig mats to continuously replace your equipment? Boo freaking hoo you have no idea. I dont simply show up at NPC bosses with a million alts next to guildies with the same and watch them fall over. We worked our asses off nailing down the best methods for killing them with a level of effort and determination that other active guilds did not and still will not match. So you want to cry about me because you dont know me, dont like me, dont have any clue how I can do what i do, thats fine go right ahead... You want to ticket me and whine to CSR's until they promise to watch me, fine by me go right ahead. But if you want employ kami tears as a weapon and fight your OP battles in a CSR's tell window instead of in the game thats crossing the line.

I set my alarm for midnight last night and got out of bed 3 hours before the defense at Whirling stronghold to join my guildies in lowering the lakes NH supply. A common Kami tactic specifically for whirling stronghold is to use the NH transporter for a launching point in avendale which does not have a Kami TP. Our counter-strategy was to spend hours running down the lakes supply and make it more desirable to just run from an actual kami TP instead. This is a valid strategy using the game mechanics and there is absolutely nothing wrong with what we did. What la lune did was called GM tooling. You cried to a CSR about bots and accused us of cheating and had the supply refilled right before the battle. I am not angry at the CSR you contacted, she followed her best judgement at the time which is all that can be asked of any CSR. But to Niz and those like him, shame on you. Save your tears you are going to need them.

You have been around too long to worry about what others say Beefi. I say you pay your subs, it's your game :) Do what you do and have fun doing it. People whine about the color of Mektoub poo. Big difference between an alt and a bot. Happy gaming friend :)

Whatever about how you play the game or how you feel you've been slighted; that doesn't excuse the tone of your post. I find it offensive, aggressive and abusive.

If you talk to people like that in-game I'm not surprised some people don't like you. There's no excuse for swearing or name calling or making threats.

Ryzom is a friendly community, on the whole, posts like this don't help anyone keep it that way.

I really dont care what you think of the tone of my post or who likes me. Deal with it.

I won't comment about alts, the CSR and Dev have defined limits, and inside them usage is OK. One must not raise the accusation of botting without hard evidence.

Yet I did not understand the rant about NH. The teleporters, created for access to the language communities, are open to everybody and must not be blocked. If somebody found a way to do so, it is an exploit and an abuse of a bug. The CSR unblocking it was perfectly correct, so were those reporting the faulty condition. It was sort of leniency of the CSR not to punish the abusers. And their complaints are more "whining" than reporting such error.

There was no bug, no exploit and no blocking of the NH transporter. Lowering the supply simply makes transporting take longer. Its by design not by fault. I was accused of cheating and had to justify myself to a CSR simply because someone wanted to use the NH transporter to gain an advantage in an OP and we came up with a way to counter that. The funny thing about alts and botting is that you dont actually have to have evidence to accuse someone, you just have to cry loudly enough to have a CSR send me tells on all my toons to see if i respond on all of them. I can turn the other cheek and ignore the constant harrassment by ignorant children like yenno (which i am within my rights to ticket and report but chose not to) and constantly see my name raised in uni by people who dont even know me making baseless accusations, but what pissed me off this time was the GM tooling employed by la lune last night.

I can put up with a lot of crap but when it gets to this point I can and will speak my mind.

I stand corrected in so far as it is possible to take out NH by excessive teleporting. Still it is CSR decision to consider it a valid move in an OP war or not, similar to campfire usage as a road block. If the CSR decides against, ranting and whining about is pathetic.

But, you keep on mentioning my name senselessly, I'll say few words.

First, I have only talked to you one time and only one time in AoI, other few times It was you /telling me first. I have never started a tell to you. Second, I have never submitted a ticket about you (in fact I've never done it for anyone).

Could you stop mentioning my name now, please?

Personally, I prefer playing my avatars one by one. To my point of view the interaction between people is more interesting than playing solo, especially in a MMORPG.
But I am curious and need you to give me an objective explanation please : How is it possible to play 4 toons (or 6/7 idk) right at the same time without using any program ? Sure the maccros are useful but I can't understand how they can do all the job and giving such accusating results on sysinfos.

And please be indulgent and do not forget that some people were banned from Aniro for things which were accepted on other shards. So it's difficult to understand and still a bit weird for us seeing X toons following just one.
Maybe we are just discovering a new way of playing then tell us instead of using (what seems to us being) a bad tone. Then maybe we could learn how to deal with.

Beefie, you didn't do anything wrong, you shouldn't need to have to justify yourself.
Especially since the accusations came from people who don't know you.

Everybody has a right to form their own opinioin, i just hope that they will do so based on facts, rather than fiction.

I hope that one day they will get to know you, to realize what a great guy you are. ☺

Actually yenno you have repeatedly brought up my name, stood in my heal pods and accused me of cheating since that time in AoI. I ignore listed you at that point on all toons instead of reporting your harassment and the only reason I know you continue that behaviour is because I can see my friends arguing with you. So no, you did not send me tells with your concerns you followed me around and slandered me in public chats, which has contributed more than anything else to the crap being said about me now. I will not leave your name out of this topic.

I spend a lot of time making and changing macros and playing with windows settings and changing my desktop layouts but I am happy to share tips i have picked up that make it easier with anyone who simply asks. The short answer tho is it takes a lot of work, patience and practise. I dont just run around with an indestructible 1 man army. I spend a lot of time kissing the dirt and working off DP.

I called you a cheater: No.
That doesn't mean you are not. And, if anyone says it so, I won't be surprised. Running 7 ALTs with each one does a repetitive one action, raises more than one question.
The normal conclusion is that you're cheating... Which is not normal is that you're not.
But, that's CSR's job to decide either way.

I got into your ALTs heals: Yes.
I did that, but only because I want to see homines flying around me. :)
I don't see any issue with that (as you might know if you're within the same league with your ALTs that prevent me from getting hit by your Bomb-Heals).

Since this incident you have called me a cheater repeatedly. You have never seen me running 7 alts, but yes i am capable of controlling 8 toons manually. And yes, inserting yourself into a healpod with the intention of disrupting it is harassment. I ignore listed you because after politely disagreeing with you i was harassed in region and I do not have time for the kind of nonsense you spouted in region that time and I can see quite clearly that you are not worth taking off ignore list.
