Has anyone ever worked out the comings and goings of the wandering merchants? It would be helpful to know when they will be in a specific location.

We have some updated on ballisticmystix.net... but not many. If you use the NPC locator and find the NPC in another area, mark it on your map, take a screenshot with NPC and map zoomed in all the way on the marker and post it to our forums we will update their seasonal location.

i can be totally wrong but think i saw this when i was doing great najabs in void
aren't season locations random like sometimes mob stays 2 seasons on one spot and so on or one summer they are there and the same season a year later they are in another spot
(i know mobs have some preset locations but isn't the season location random)

Could be. I only recall specifically the one hawker in the Void is 1 of 2 places and look for a gray dot when I need to clean my bag. Since I am not a bonafide digger I don't really pay attention to the season. So, we would at least mark them in the 2(+) spots they hang out at :-)

The wandering might be more random than I thought. Watching in Upper Bog, it seems like some merchants change in the middle of seasons.

yes, they seem to change position based on timers, not server reset or season change.
Each has several positions and rotates between them, but I've never figured out the exact timing.

In my (no so fresh experience) the positions of the hawkers are season dependent. But during a transition period from one season to another the hawkers walk from one location to another, so you won't find them at either site. This is even more complex if want to find hunters which have several seasonal hunting grounds.

Sometimes it appears as the pattern behind these moves isn't based on the Atysian Cycle (4 seasons) but on Jena Years (4 Atysian Cycles). For example Mob placing seems to repeat every Jena Year.

yep, they do that. You can catch/interact them half way, and thats also a reason some map sites have way too many spots for one NPC hehe

If they walk, I guess their stopping points are all along a fixed path. So they will always move from location to location in the same sequence?
