Bonjour,
serait-il possible d'avoir une carte plus précise avec un zoom plus puissant ?
On a souvent du mal à sélectionner des drapeaux proches, on ne peut donc en mettre qu'un nombre réduit et on perd souvent des informations utiles...

edit client.cfg and add "MaxMapScale=10.0;" to get 10x zoom

So, how many players should ask every months the same things, for Dev to realize it is time to add an in-game option about this?
One thing Ryzom is good at is obscurantism.

When I added the config option, it did not occur to me to make it changeable ingame config window, because map zoom is only useful for some people. I still think that.

ça ne marche pas, même si j'édite le fichier en "root"...

so it's useful for "some" people (do you kow how many ?)...so it is useful and if you don't provide it directly within the maps then at least that should be an option...

The game config interface is old, and not well maintained (not updated with new feature's, by choice or laziness).

A scalable zoom settings option should be available on the map directly yeah.
What is useless for me today can be useful tomorrow.

Is it an excuse to keep features hidden?
Maybe at one point when developping such things you should think about the end user that is not a dev.

It's a generic remarks, not targetting you Karu.
As stated in another topic, features are dev and works but the job is not fully finalized.

I cannot encourage users to mark every green blob to create 200markers in 1m radius. Those who really-really want to achieve that, they must do so by editing client.cfg.

To make the markers on map easier, I moved MaxMapScale from xml to client.cfg, I added map search (/mapsearch command), and next patch will have a way to target closest landmark (/lmtar command). I feel that those features have more uses than just bigger zoom.

I have also thought about adding closest X landmarks on right click menu to map, but have not started coding it. /lmtar introduced most of the code, so maybe its possibility.

Hello!

Maybe the Ryzom Installer can support the option?

Too bad we don't have a useful in-game help option.
