I have a quick question.

Suppose I see someone attacking a fire in an attempt to put it out. Should I care about that fact? While I have not accepted the quest from the Pyromancers, however in my opinion, it is a daunting task to fulfill, contrary what others have said. My other character, Kovabon, has gotten his a$$ kicked almost every time he has tried to get a piece of damn firewood, except for the one in the Imperial Desert.

What is your opinion of this?

Just asking...

Do not start another fire war, had it on ari ppl got kicked in guilds forums got trashed ppl cryed .... CSR's where with hand in their hair ...

Build one yourself and kill that one killing somebody's campfire is just stupid in the end. Most ppl build em to have some place to sit at and chat, can even be seen as light rp I guess.

OK, just checking on how I react to this... I don't like conflict, but I will not say anything, but the person killing the file is still an a$$hole, I just will keep it to myself.

If you dont like conflict why did you start this thread, especially considering there has already been a thread on this topic?

Placio - do not jump at this - player was wondering what the usual response was and if it was normal to attack fires - and thank goodness they have masses of hp

Agree with Subbo that they are just light rp - and also think it is just mean to kill someone's fire

If you are sat at the fire and as them not to kill it you can ask for csr support if they still do kill it - basically it is against coc to interfere with someone's fire - but not officially so

This idea of "I'm offended". Well I've got news for you. I'm offended by a lot of things too. Where do I send my list? Life is offensive. You know what I mean? Just get in touch with your outer adult. (Bill Hicks)

if it's blocking something then pls do kill it (same at ops they should not be there blocking sneak attacks). For the rest I think best is to let ppl enjoy them as long as it isn't turning into 10+ fires in the same spot.

I think fires should be left alone unless they are someplace truly inconvenient. For instance, there have been a few set right on important NPCs like New Horizons or occupation masters that prevent you from targeting them because you wind up targeting the fire instead. Also, it would seem that setting fires inside the Marauder camp is a bit of a no-no, at least when I do it.

But outside of that, most fires are set where they are set for a reason. There are a group of homins that like to socialize around a campfire by the Fairhaven stables, while the Bubba statue that occasionally appears in FH also requires fire, and I like to ensure that the Kipestas near the Avendale portal in Loria don't freeze at night. It's best to leave those ones alone.

@Placio - I believe that Xanix/Kovabon was not here during Firegate, and may not remember even if he were.

Do not assume that you speak for all just because you are the loudest voice; there are many who disagree that simply have no desire to waste words on you.

-Hmm deleted this since I lived with the belief for some months a great player died that didn't so I'll change this to something else to get confusion and my own confusion out of here-

When I heard around merger she passed on I did have a 'crazy' moment for several weeks where I was like' wtf' happend (If you understand me).

WTF???

I hadn't heard that! I figured she'd just dropped out as so many people have, but I figured she'd drop back in again eventually.

There should be a memorial for her: a Fire that continually loses hitpoints until it is out, then restarts. :D

Actually I remember her most for leading some of the most harrowing treks I remember being on, during the event "When the Tents Bloomed." She was the leader of the Tryker company of suppliers that went to other lands after we had build all our camps.

Don't worry, Bitty, no memorial is needed for Inifuss. She may still return some day :)

Hurrah!

Happy to know that I am not that far out of the loop, too. But mostly hurrah that Inifuss is not dead.
