Ryzom Forge is working on a Mac FAQ and on Mac tutorials, in link with Ryzom Core.
Here is the beginning of the tutorial list, that will be updated regularly:

Hi all,

New Ryzom client is available here: http://kervala.net/download/ryzom_2.1.0.zip

Installing Steps:

1. Run ryzom_update that is included in the .zip file.
2. Run Ryzom it should work.
3. If you want to copy your settings to the new client, go to /User/user_name/Library/Containers/com.winchgate.Ryzom/Data/Libra ry/Application Support/Ryzom, in that folder select all and copy it.
4. Before doing the next step make sure that Ryzom is closed.
5. Go to /User/user_name/Library/Application Support/Ryzom and paste all in here.
6. Now launch the new Ryzom and all your settings should be the same.

The Library folder may be hidden. Watch THIS tutorial to learn how to show hidden folders:

Extended installation procedure provided by Rubiksmomo:

Installing Steps:
1. Download Ryzom Mac client v2.1.0 from:
http://kervala.net/download/ryzom_2.1.0.zip
2. Go to downloads
3. Open the zip folder you just downloaded
4. Hold down control while clicking "ryzom_update".
5. In the file menu click open.
6. If you get a message about "unidentified developer", just click "open".
7. When the console says it's done, close the window.
8. "Drag and drop" "ryzom" file into "Applications". If prompted, choose
"replace".
9. If you want to copy your settings to the new client:
9.1. Go
to //User/user_name/Library/Containers/com.winchgate.Ryzom/Data/Libr ary/Application Support/Ryzom/ (NB! please delete the extra space in the word Library when copying the path, it is showing up in the post due to the length of the path string)
9.2. In this folder select all files and copy them
9.2. Quit Ryzom if it's running
9.3. Go to //User/user_name/Library/Application Support/Ryzom/ and
paste the files there
10. Open "Launchpad"
11. Click Ryzom
12. It should now say "v2.1.0" in the top right corner of the splash screen.

Good Day All,

I have some comments that might be helpful with regards to mac but I have a question first:

Is the data here:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ryzom/files/ryzom_client.7z

more up to date than the data here:

www.ryzom.com::ryzom/data/
www.ryzom.com::ryzom/client_default.cfg

or does the ryzom/data always contain the latest / greatest updates?

sourceforge is terribly outdated, you need to use ryzom_update.sh to get the good data from the rsync
