Greetings,

The matter of managing the differences of historical memories among players on the three old servers is a recurring one, and specifically came back here :  http://app.ryzom.com/app_forum/index.php?page=topic/view/18702/

Which choice can be made between either merging the three Histories or finding a way to keep them intact?

Here is the answer from the Event Team :

"It appeared  important to us that each player be able to keep and share the memories that their character has acquired on one of the three game servers before the merge.

Indeed, merging the three Lores would be a titanic work. Choosing which version would become official for each conflicting historical happening would be both arbitrary, penalizing a part of the community, and in the end frustrating and destabilizing: each person would end up confused between "real memory" and "false memory".

Moreover, it would, as we see it, cause the "death" of what each part of the community experienced on these servers, and this is not our wish. We want to give everyone the opportunity to plan for the future together while maintaining in a logical fashion their experiences before the merger. Many players have great memories of Arispotle, Leanon or Aniro -- it is important to allow them their roots.

This is the reason why the Event Team has planned a coming event to explain the reasons for these different memories and languages, which will allow to everyone to include these into his roleplay. We will not reveal anything about the essence of these (RP) reasons in order to preserve interest for the event that will be played on this topic. There will, of course, be an announcement given in due course in the Event part of the forum."
