Well, I knew that topic title would make you look. =P

Yes, I hate this game. It is stealing my life... LOL. Seriously, I have not had this much fun in an MMO since UO (the early days) nor have I found such a great community. The people playing this game are one of a kind.

Anyhow, I have one huge complaint (a real one) that I think could be easily fixed and would be well worth adding to a patch... Please let me name my Pack Mule. Not only because it would be cool for reasons of immersion- But I imagine once I have a few pack mules it would be easier to know which packer has what.

Also, it would be really, really cool to add colored dye as an item. here could be an "optional" spot when crafting armor pieces to add a dye to change the base color.

Anyhow, I am haviing a complete blast- Cannot believe I only recently learned about Ryzom or I would have been here long ago. I like this game so much (in fact) that even though my Video Card does not run the game properly (I have to run in open GL and am missing tons of textures-( Odd because even though its a very sub par card, it runs LOTRO fine) Its worth it to "just deal with it" until I am able to upgrade. I had no idea a game such as this existed- But I am thrilled to have found it.

Named packers would be great and most likely indeed not that difficult to implement.

I also like your idea about an option to include different colour dyes in your recipes in order to achieve colours not supplied by the mats you're using.

Could become a thriving little industry to supply those, or could be used as a goldsink if they're npc-only items (not that a goldsink is needed, dappers have so little real value that people don't really care about them as long as they have enough to pay for tp tickets, which is great for keeping things friendly, prevents an atmosphere where players try actively to prevent others from gaining resources in order to stunt their progress, a common occurrance in many mmos).

Hated it for 5 years, 1 month and 13 days so far...

and will continue to do so, when i get more time on my hands...

By the way, if we get dyes added into the game, i want them to be items craftable with mats, and you apply them after crafting your armour. Plus it should have a downside, like lower durability or something, or nobody will mind mat colours anymore.

That's why I was thinking making them npc items only, or very rare digging resources.
That would make them expensive to use and/or in short supply (same effect), thus making their use limited by definition.

Catching up with forums. I haven't been hating this game nearly as long as the others of you, but ever since I retired it has been really hateful. I've got to ration myself or I wouldn't get anything else done around the house.

huh, there is nothing wrong with OpenGL, is just your video card, i have the same problem :). i hate this game one month so far in GNU/Linux ;) :P
