It is correct that the cheapest way to pay is directly via ryzom.com and your billing account. Also the cheapest payment option is by credit card (WorldPay), which is a recurring subscription. If you choose PayPal, this will charge an extra fee for the payment, but you will only be charged for a period and you have to renew the subscription manually. This affected all the characters on my account and I found out it was affecting Macs and Windows users alike.

I contacted Support and with the help of Arionasis we found a fix.

There is a 'User' folder in Application Support (on a Mac - on a PC its in the ID directory - by default /0).  

Full path name on my mac: 
Users/<name>/Library/Application Support/Ryzom/user
and 
Users/<name>/Library/Application Support/Ryzom/0/user

The contents of this folder may include add-on options (e.g. changed map icons, the "angel" TP animation etc.) which can be retained - although most of these are old any may cause problems of their own.  The rest of the files are now in the Data directory and compacted files and should be deleted.  Do this while the game is not running.  If it works for you and you have contacted Support, please let them know.]]>

1. In Windows check Event Viewer for Error or Warning Messages. Resolve if any found by doing web search of text describing reported problem

2. Uninstall GFX drivers, reboot, clean registry of all GFX driver related entries, reboot and reinstall drivers.

3. Install native client using the single folder install method. The single folder method will allow your current installation to exist side by side without issue. Many Steam users have found problems disappearing w/ native client ... have seen two identical boxes whereby one had a problem / one didn't.... it went away w/ native client ... no idea why.

Quéte : Une livraison pour les iconodoules (mission d'accueil de Zora)

J'ai accompli cette quéte en équipe de deux et j'ai fait apparaitre deux fois le gingo contaminé et je l'ai tué deux fois, mais la mission n'a pas été validée et je l'ai recommencé hors team et il y a plusieurs quétes qui ont le même probléme (notament sur Silan, celle du bandit spécialiste et celle où il faut trouver des trésors dans des caisses... si je fais pas d'erreur).

Peut-être les joueurs volontaires peuvent tester les quétes et faire un rapport pour avoir une synthése générale claire au sujet de ces quétes et ainsi l'équipe de développeurs pourra ensuite efficacement corriger ces choses ?!

En tout cas, je vous signal ici, la mission des incondoules que j'ai fais aujourd'hui et qui n'a pas fonctionné en équipe de deux.

I want post #123, the system looks in the moved table, post not found, it must be in its original place. Post #123 is delivered to the user.

If I now want post #123, the system looks into the table, post is found, new id is #777. To make sure this post is valid, the system continues to look the posts up, until it is not in the list anymore. The second lookup will point it to #888 and the third returns a "not found".

So post #888 is delivered to the user.


It is some work, but I believe it is a very elegant solution for the future. Just add:
- old_id and new_id when a post is moved
- recursive id lookup before a post is delivered to the user

client.log has "at least one animal should be dead" which is as expected according to sources.

J'ai eu le meme soucis chez un pote, hier (sous windows 8.1, avec anti-virus et fw de windows).

Comme il utilise steam, on a fini par l'installer via steam (et après, il a fallu reconfigurer le clavier, j'ai enfin vu ce bug "des arbres qui sautent"...) - mais bon, il m'a dit qu'il avait plein de soucis d'affichage ces derniers temps, sur divers jeux...
Pour finir, ca marchait impect :)

Je pense que les soucis ne viennent ni de l'installeur ni de quelque script que ce soit. La mise à jour des fichiers doit prendre un certain temps à être répliquée vers les miroirs et du coup, il télécharge probablement une vieille version.]]>

* (une copie d'écran d'un autre répertoire si l'Installateur Ryzom n'a pas été installé dans le répertoire par défaut)
* une copie du contenu de C:\Users\<login>\AppData\Local\Ryzom\ryzom_installer.ini
* une copie du contenu de C:\Users\<login>\AppData\Roaming\Ryzom\0\client.log
* une copie du contenu de C:\Users\<login>\AppData\Roaming\Ryzom\0\client.cfg
* une copie d'écran de C:\Users\<login>\AppData\Roaming\Ryzom\0\user content
(Si le profil utilisé est différent de 0, remplacer le 0 par le bon numéro de profil avant)

Et si on ne trouve pas la solution dans la page, ils conseillent :

Et sinon, il y a toujours le bon vieux système du ticket au support (en donnant toutes les informations ci-dessus, je suppose, plus le fait que tu passes par un client Steam).

Pour info, Nevrax utilisait le caractère | (pipe) pour déterminer la hauteur maximale des caractères... Avec l'ancienne police ça fonctionnait très bien car il prenait toute la hauteur, mais ce n'était plus le cas avec la nouvelle police :( D'où les parties tronquées...

On se base donc maintenant sur plusieurs caractères dont _ pour la limite inférieure et un Ä pour la limite supérieure (les majuscules avec accents semblent être les caractères les plus hauts), ce qui retourne une hauteur plus correcte.

Au niveau du changement dans l'interface, il parait que ça "corrige" l'alignement vertical du texte car remplacer quasi tous les y="-2" par y="0" corrige les positions :p]]>
