The problem is most likely a memory corruption caused by different library builds having a sizing difference.

I have since managed to stick another monkey wrench into this system. It always happens when I am working with a new system. So I can't build anything else for testing until I go through reinstalling all of it. See you in a few days.]]>

1 Creation of a Ryzom Forge Infographics group in Asana

The Infographics group needs to be better structured, so  RF Infographics group will be created in Asana. 
Asana groups are free (as with no charge) untill 15 people in a group, but it will be enough for our actual needs. Nevertheless this group will be reserved to the Infographics team, because of this restriction.
To ask for an access, send an email to tamarea@ryzom.com, who will invite you.  You can also provide your email on IRC or by IG mail.

The advange is that the Ryzom teams under NDA already use it, and it is possible to share a task between groups. So it's possible to follow a task with more than 15 people.
It will be able to better coordonate Infographics, Level Design, Dev, Event...  groups.
Asana sends emails notifications in case of adding or modifying a task (except if you prefer to desactivate the feature).
It is not necessary to create an account before, an invitation is possible with an Asana account or with an email.

Q: Is it 15 members per group? Or is it 15 members for all the groups combined?
A: 15 for each group.

Q: Can I join Asana despite my "linguistic disadvantages"? (I speak only German)
A: Yes of course! Internally I work with DE volunteers that speak only DE and I don't! We also have some FR that do not speak EN. Everybody succeed in working together, sometimes with google translation, often with the help of the others for translations. Each one is important and has got many interesting ideas, the language is not a problem. We are a multilanguage team.

A Lycimima: Yes you can draw it on paper and scan your idea and I will see what can I do with it.
I don't have a Mac so no idea wich program you can use. 
I think we should post the texture modele so everyone will have the right size for the texture.

Q: The textures and sizes of existing banners are readily available to us. Only if there are new objects, we need to know these variables.
A: Not everyone know where to look on the datas or maybe i have miss it on the forum?

Lycimima : For the usage, we can also replace banners of zorai and tryker cities by the new ones, in addition to the one on support. And more, seeing that use same materials for all countries because we cannot do better, I propose to redo version fitted to each country in addition to the banner itself. 2 Creation of a Ryzom Forge Level Design group in Asana

The group is created since two weeks on this tool for managing teams, and two LD members of RF joined it. We are waiting for the other ones!

Q: Only 15 members can join? 
A: In the free version, yes. If we have one day more than 15 RF members (without counting those under NDA), we will have to be clever by sharing tasks between different groups.

R: Yes. We can creat tasks, second level tasks, following a task, assign it, put a deadline, join a file, a tag, etc.

A: No because we are much more productive in our native language. DE, EN, ES, FR, no matter. Internally we work also like that and it's going very well.


4 Study and validation of the missions ideas

It is less convenient than Asana but usefull while waiting for all volunteers to get access.
Its content is copied within Asana, and each week Lore and LD teams gather to study and validate (or not!) proposed ideas. A feedback is then done to creators.
Once creators on Asana, all the implied teams can follow the work in progress, advice, validate, help by creating missing item, etc...
Members of RF already in Asana group have already started to add directly their new ideas and detailed their valid ideas.]]>

at one time ryzom had great vision and potential, but somewhere along the way that was lost and forgotten. sure there's the forge and the open source community, but when much of what people work on and offer doesn't even get a comment about it, it's not surprising that people quickly loose faith and stop putting in effort for 0 return. (even a comment from someone official saying it's just too hard is better then nothing at all, or constructive comments that lead to changes making it more likely to be done for that matter.)

there are those of us that are die hard lovers and refuse to give up, i'm one, or i'd have stopped the UB stories long before they were finished. (which will be in a month or two, it's only been over a year now i've been posting the stories... but still never got an official answer about them or the basic ideas. what's more funny is that NOTHING i proposed would have to be made from the ground up, it's all already in game, the scripts simply have to be made, and then used {i've done some work personally on this fact just to see, and as far as i can tell, everything in the ideas and outlines is more then possible with my very limited understanding of the ark system and my testing thus far. the only thing that would be hard is new mat's (not a must) and placing mat's in the ground for digging (also not a must)}

so while we may want these things in ryzom, we may or may not ever get them, but there's likely to be a game based on the ryzom core, that will have many of the things we wanted and asked for (in some cases for years and years) at the launch of this new game (should it come to be). so hold out for ryzom to get things new, and keep an eye out to the future for a game that will be more flexible in giving the paying players things that they was (if it's the majority AND doesn't brake the balance of the game).

but i'm +1 for ANY new playable content, not just eye candy like banner flags.]]>

all guilds should be required to have a guild registry entry, even if only saying "syndicate : we are marauders" (just an example my friends, i already picked on my own guild) the post should be required within 30 days of the creation of a guild. (alt guilds could simply say: "this is an alt guild" {ma-duk's temple of talk: alt guild}) however this is just a matter of voluntary submissions, even if the post was created when the guild was created (only the post with guild name would be mandatory and automatic)]]>

when you go /afk if you do this:

someone else can see in "around" (if they send you a "tell"):

(example) talkirc is away from keyboard. i'm taking care of the baby right now be back soon

this is handy for those that use the "user chat" and have "around" as an option when sending a tell to a player that is afk. even without the added message of what you want (in my example "i'm taking... ...back soon") the around will still say "(insert name) is away from the keyboard"

it would be nice if the little light on the friends and guild list would turn a different color when (yellow would work, so would red) when someone goes officially /afk.

i also like the idea that when a user does a /who if the list would show as eruv said:

seralee
virg
talkirc{afk}
this would help to cut down on sending others in region a tell for a rez.

while this option i'm giving now would be the hardest (i think) it would also be nice that anyone that has no activity (moving, chatting, sorting gear/mats/ect) for 10 minutes would automatically become /afk tagged. this would also be a nice feature because sometimes RL demands that we move quickly and can't always take the few seconds to apply the 6 (six) keystrokes to go /afk (enter once to "open" the chat, /afk, enter again to apply the command)

these are just my thoughts and ideas on this thread's topic in general, i'm sure most would agree.

c'est avec émotion que Pom s'approche du coffre, sa Tali Jyrvie l'a informé plus tôt que l'on pouvait postuler comme aspirant ranger.

Alors, avec quelques appréhensions, la ptite Trykette ouvre le coffre déposé au pied de l'étendard Ranger.
Elle relit les principes fondateurs brodés sur le tissu....
Son regard tombe sur l'insigne dans le coffre.
Elle tend la main avec hésitation, se demandant si elle sera rejetée.

Mais l'insigne se laisse saisir...

Elle l'accroche à sa poitrine très fière, consciente du poids supplémentaire que ce geste trivial amène sur ses épaules.

Peat'Pom sourit, repensant à Chon qui comme elle aurai regretté le manque de cérémonie.
Mais, cela cadre avec l'humilité nécessaire pour arpenter la dure voie que chaque ranger s'impose....

L idee c est de faire des propositions pour donner de l interet aux APs de petits niveaux.

Actuellement , les batailles d AP sont sur les 250, voir les 200, je trouve cela dommage.

Le taux de 250 sur un Ap 50 serait forcement moindre puisque les mps iraient de 50 a 250.

Ce que j ai proposé n est peut etre pas ce qu il y a de mieux, mais actuellement qui est content des batailles d AP telles quelles sont actuellement ?

Et je pense que beaucoup de l interet de ryzom reside en parti sur les guerres d AP. Cela donne de l interet a tout ce que l on fait pour monter les niveaux, forer du sup chasser les rois etc etc. Donc pour moi c est une erreur de ne pas se pencher sur les defauts actuel du systeme.

2.1 Lore wiki in french: work on Chronicles

Zendae has made a lot of work on the chronicles these last months, to add the missing chronicles but also to all reorganize. She has written, corrected and finalized a thousand of articles since february and has managed the categories too, all this represent a thousand of interventions from her on the wiki since 5 months!

2.2 Other languages Lore wiki: call to volonteers to manage them

Everything is in the title: we have some contributors for the FR Lore Wiki but not for the other ones... It becomes urgent to take care of the EN DE ES and RU wikis!
These wikis don't have to be the copy of the FR one, each wiki can have his own personnality. The English Lore wiki for example, his quite différent from the french wiki and it's not a problem.Iit's this diversity that is enriching.
Each wiki can follow his own way, while translating the pages that seem interesting from other wikis.

But to make those wikis alive, which have the particularity to be officiallo-collaborative (meaning that everyone can add things to the official content by a validation system, and that all player content can be added to the official Lore), we need contributors.
That's why we launch a call to administrators, volunteers to add or update articles, translators,... ! If everyone come and help a little, according to its time and its competences, the result will be great!

1 Translation Group

1.1 Change of statut for the "internal" Translation Team

When the translation team was made some years ago, it was a dedicated team in the way there had no NDA to sign to join them.
Thist has made that this team who plays an important role for Ryzom, is sadly isolated from the other ones.
This is what we are changing today: now each new translator that joins the translation team internaly will sign a NDA and i the current translators can do the same if they want, to allow this essential team to be at equality with the other ones.


1.2 Urgent translations on Lore and Ryzom Forge wikis: how to find them

Before we had a banner that we put on the article to translate like:  http://forge.ryzom.com/wiki/Objet_du_mois where there is a request of translation in spanish or russian.
That banner is a template that categorizes the article in ToTrad to RU : for exemple  http://forge.ryzom.com/wiki/Category:ToTrad_to_RU.
It is the template that allows to do the banner and categorisation :http://forge.ryzom.com/wiki/Template:ToTrad.

But tamarea wished that we can distinguish the urgent articles because the translators were frightened by the amout of articles to translate and did not know where to start.
So Zorroargh has edited this template to add a new level of priority. A third parameter allows us to add the reason of the urgence. This addition changes the color of the text (in red) and also changes the caterory.

We can consider the translation of the portal as a priority, so Zorroargh has taken back all the articles in English to complete the portail (and for the demo)  and has put the banner totrad urgent.

1.3 Correction of ingame text

We have start to test Zanata some month ago, but sadly the test doesn't progress a lot...
The few things that Tamarea has tested herself seemed good: easy correction whithout risk of cutting a bunch of code, validation of correction easy too.
Zanata seems to well work on condition to set it in english (bug when in french). But it would be nice that others really test it!

Drumel : We can try to take it back, but before i would like that Ulukyn confirms the files that I have uploaded on Zanata, to be sure we can use them.
Tamarea: Okay, we will see that with him and we will try to make thing goes on for the next meeting. The roadmap plans the text correction in game for this year, it will be time to put in it!

Q: How can I get the access rights for Zanata?
A: Google login on Zanata is broken at the moment, so you have to register a normal account.


Q: How does Zanata work and how to see the files to correct?

When we open a .txt file, for example phrase_en_part1.txt, we see two columns: the original text to the left, and the empty line to put the translation (or in our case, the correction) to the right.
We just have to clic on the arrow on the median line to copy the left sentence in the right column.
It's this right line that we will edit to make the correction. The code that we have to let as it is will be in red, no danger to correct it by error.
To save that line, we have to clic on the button on the right of the line: "save to translate".
If a sentence has already been corrected by someone else before you, you will see the buttons "accept translation " (a thumb up) and "reject translation" (a thumb down) to the right. This permits to confirm (or not) the proposed correction.

Итак, пришло время обозвать наши небесные тела. Вобщем мне тут недавно стало известно как солнце и луна на атисских языках именуются. Так, што внимайте:) Наша пульсирующая звезда фиросами зовётся Кюн-фирум, трикерами - Сайя, мародёрами - Сакларк. Соседнюю планету с системой колец назовём пока просто Планета. А другую планету, хоть на ней и есть атмосфера, но которая как бы луна матисами называется Венде, трикерами - Mайя, мародёрами - Сакрунд. Ну а туманность пусть будет Туманностью Джены.
Может у кого есть предложения как назвать Планету?

Он сказал, что давно, предки населяли homins обедневший планету. Великий Дракон, принц тени, пришла, чтобы побудить их с видениями чистой воды и плодородных земель. Он привел их в землю обетованную Атис, где он спрятал солнце, погружая планету в холод и мрак. В самом деле, вместо земли чудес и свободы, люди обмануты Дракона испытал опустошение и рабство.

Дракон был побежден, но он оставил свой след в Атис. Когда Йена заполнено теневую дракона с огнем на солнце, зверь повернулся в боли и плевать его пламенный дух всей замороженной планете. В пылу огненным дыханием, первичной ила Атис, что похоронили Дракон в пустоши из льда, появились снова. Тогда Йена наводнили планету с ее Света, и плодородная почва проросли с чудесным безумие жизни.

Дракон был пойман в корнях Атис во время восстания Green. Он пытался бежать, плюя солнце огонь, и уменьшения новый лес в пепел, но чудо жизни было слишком сильным, и огонь был задушен под тяжестью многих разворачивающихся листьев. Измученные и победил, Дракон укрылся в темноте растений пещере, в глубине планеты, и, наконец, пошел спать. Пепел, которые пришли от огня дракона были разбросаны по поверхности Атис. Они смешиваются с реками сока, пыльцы от гигантских цветов, и спор грибов предков.

Эти демоны стремятся обладать homins для того, чтобы подчинить их и превратить их в послушных рабов, которые будут принесены в жертву для выживания Ма-Дука.

Камис демоны, рожденные от драконьих пепла, которые вездесущи на Атис. Большая часть сущности этих странных существ под влиянием древнего гнева Дракона

In the last few weeks I made a lot of amp recipe testing.
I just put about 30 amps, all made with excellent focus on Zorai public market resale.
They are very different, but a few pearls like the one shown below are included.
Most are Q100 up to Q170, only a few are below Q100.
They are all at flat rate of 300%, so they are all cheaper than 4000 dapper.

The normal price for the amp below is more like 30.000 dapper, be fast and catch one. ;)
