You can choose not to install any app. If, in case or mine, you are not forced to be authenticated. In that case you can't personalize options and can't use any features that require API key.

While you are authenticated (means ryzom server told me your name, race, guild..., IG or in browser) You can go to sections with features based on character API key. In case you have none or required module is missing in your key, you are requested for a key. The key must be yours.

Any updates based on character API key work only if required module is present. All cached data overview is in your profile page. In Settings you can choose to remove all data cached from character API key and then remove your key. When you save, no API key data will exist in the database.

In same settings you can set yourself to be excluded from guild members list (Publish policy). Guild activity is not any related to any API key existence. You have two options:

1) Be part of the list (default)
You will be added first time spotted, by your leader/officer. by one-time import from guild API key or by automatic update from guild API key. And then every time its longer than 1 hour since the last time

2) Be excluded
Your activity will be logged the same way, but you will not be added to the guild members list and you will be mentioned only as "Unidentified member".

Guild leader (or other member who got rights from the leader) can provide guild API key in guild profile settings. Then it is possible to import members, all or those selected by checkbox. Changing the state of the checkbox will change homin's Publish policy settings. The reason is the guild leader has last word in who will or who will not be in the list.

Other option is to set guild members list to be updated automatically. When the list of members is older than 1 hour, it will be updated with first list request.

It's my understanding that installing any of those apps requires an API key. From original post

"RyGReg, Ryzom Guild Registry, gets the raw guild list from the Ryzom API " ... This is true for the Fame Tool also.
To get list of guilds requires no key. Fame tracker requires 2 modules from character API, C01 - Public (allows to read character allegiance) and P01 - Fame (allows to read character fame values). Without those there is no way how can I track your progress and related functions will be unavailable.

Maybe you talk about that any app does update of any type? Yes, your fame will be updated if you use RyGReg as authenticated user. Every update is is just one of modules. I will allow you to lock them in next release.

For example, when I looked at it after the update ... I had 5 guildies on line... when I opened the app none of them had been here as far back as I looked (> 6 months)

The RP problem is more "player created" to reinforce their own preferences than anything else, 1) the TP access to nrutral TPs have existed since Day 1, why complain about it now, 2) BOTH the factions have neutral TPS so there always has been a dichotomy and 3) the Ranger faction protects Atys from the Kitin threat ... which means this faction is protecting all homins on the planet. For the powers to grant them access to the lower level regions via their network to accomplish this goal is no big stretch.

As for a Ranger guild deciding to be Mercenary ... so what ? Again this has been the case since day 1. Like the family who goes to church once a year on a particular holiday "just in case", players have always been faction whores for TPs. Many guilds of both factions faction were mercenary in nature, even being Trytonist of a kind as they worked to maintain a balance (KLIKHx2) between the factions.

Because one thing happens when there is an inbalance, invariably, population and subscriptions drop. Understandabe, the "withouts" feel disenfranchised but it's always the dominant side that over time loses more ... out of sheer boredom. So we can talk about each and every individual's own personal version of what RP should be or we can talk about what sustains the population. As long as everyone is [paying the same subscription rite, everyone should have the same opportunities.

As far as passing a rite giving special priviledges ... you took a mission and killed a low level NPC ... big whoop..... everyone in any faction did a rite. By that logic, the Rangers should have the most advantages as there rite is far more difficult.

Ryzom has always been about equality .... different weapons have advantages in certain situations, but overall there is no best weapon that provides an advantage across the board ... there is no best race, each has advantages in certain situations and disadvantages in others (well except for zorai who can reach things on the top shelf, Trykers who don't have to bend so far to pick up things and Fyros who don't get sunburn ... hep me here for the Matis) ... and there are no "classes".

If we are going to have special classes, why stop at factions ... why not discriminate by race and gender too ? Better yet, just like all other aspects of the game, don't allow RP choices to put anyone at an advantage or disadvantage.]]>

It is strictly forbidden to pretend to have a privileged relationship with a member of the Ryzom team (including a member of Support), whether to harm him, to make oneself look good to other players, to try to influence them, or for some other reason.
The members of the Ryzom teams are subject to a non-disclosure clause and therefore their identities (personal and player) are preserved. In addition, each member follows an internal code of conduct that prohibits them from favouring one player over another.

As far as Location, that seems to be something I would like to see on the map. Perhaps an Orange or green person showing all guildies locations so you don't have to invite them to team to know where they are. I think that would tighten up friendships instead of not knowing where others in the guild are. Truth is, they are hiding out alone doing their own thing, but which it would be nice to be a little more social. :)]]>

I allow myself this missive ahead of next chamber of Nobles, favouring promptness of intelligence over strictness of etiquette.

First of all the invasion of white kitins seems stopped as inexplicably as it started. It's good news, but as filira Salazar commented what is less good is that those kitins could appear and disapear without traces.

I'm aware that we suspected the recent openning of the path to Silan to be the cause of the invasion. However the facts refute this hypothesis, espacially because the invasion occurs simuntaneously in jungle, and that regarding forest, is was not centered on Confusion Groove. This tall jugula which was eliminated seems the only consequence of the openning to silan.

I have to inform you that the Rangers were remarkably active in the elimination of white kitins. On this side we cannot deny that they are commited to fulfill their mission.

However, the goal of my missive is also to share with you my personnal hypothesis regarding the reason of this invasion. And I think Rangers are really the cause.

Indeed, the invasion started not long after those last had introduce a new rite of passage for their aspirants. This rite occurs somewhere on Oflovak road and certainly has no link with the invasion, BUT, after the rite passed, the fresh ranger is invited to stride across prime roots seeking the pathway that form their transportation web.

My hypotheis, is that Rangers, while crossing massively those tunnels, with the euphoria and clumsiness we could imagine from new rangers discovering those paths, have excited a colonny from the depth, which move up to surface.

I talk about this hypothesis to rangers themselves but their instructor remained very dubious. Of course.
But he admitted that the question should be studied.

Whatever, the invasion has stopped, which I explain by the fact that most of aspirants have now becomed rangers that know all paths and most importantly that know how to use them with more experience and discretion. "The fever has gone" we could say.

We can also wonder why lakes and desert were spared from this invasion. My intuition is that comes form differences in the composition of our undergrounds.

I won't develop here more geological considerations on what is only a hypothesis. I remain at your disposal.

And btw, wonder what happened to X & Y & Z resize, disable collisions and the ring maps?
Collisions are bit buggy, that is true, but I hope Ulukyn will fix it in next editor update. Collisions resize works to me in X/Y, Z confuses me. Rotation seems buggy.

I actually mostly toss the collisions from the cliff of the bark (literally, collision - move X & Y), instead of taking the time to edit them. A lot of them are way too large for their shapes.
The Z axis is special in Ryzom, it’s kind of 2.5D, not the 3D it looks like. Where the ground is not even enough or collisions overlap it’s possible to walk below a collision. You can’t move a collision on Z because it always tries to snap to the ground. You can’t walk on top of a collisions, there is no top ;) (unfortunately). Changes on rotation Z of the collision seem to be reset on save (bug).

Haha, I was banging my head against the wall with the collisions not saving their positions, "glad I'm not the only one".

She wondered if perhaps, when one activates a new card ... the new expiration date jumps by a couple of years. Now if ya using auto pay feature, this is like 14 years of transactions. Now I know from past experience, and discussion w/ CC company at least w/ AMEX, they ignore the expiration thing if its a pre-existing auto pay.

What this gal thought might be happening is that the CC processing company may be submitting the payment and the process sees that the original exp date has passed. So it's never getting to VISA because the cc processing company Bibit is flagging the card as expired.

However, this doesn't line up because the "Rejected" message is coming like 18 months or more after I got and activated a new card. But VISA is not rejecting it, they would continue to pay it... but it is getting rejected before it gets to them. If this is in fact what is happening, the cc processor should have a system whereby when the card is reaching the expiration date, they send out a request for the new date.]]>

Gaperila : J'ai aussi combattu divers Kitins au Bosquet Vierge. Ils étaient à peu pres de la même force que ceux que j'ai observés au Jardin Fugace
La différence, cependant, c'est qu'ils sont en groupes beaucoup plus larges au Bosquet Vierge et qu'il ne semble pas y avoir de trou par lequel ils arrivent, puisque je n'ai plus vu de Kitins après les avoir éradiqués

Les kitins blancs du Jardin Fugace, par contre, doivent avoir un trou, parce qu'ils ont réapparu après environ une semaine ((atysienne))
J'ai remarqué qu'ils sont de la même espace et à peu pres au même endroit que les kitins blancs apres que les Monticules ont été refermés mais avant qu'on ait reconduit le reste sous-terre
S'il y a un renouvellement quelconque de l'activité kitin sous-terre, ça serait une bonne idée de continuer à les tuer et à surveiller

I've always been dwelling the desert. My parents thought me to navigate this place well, how could it be other then that, they were traders, living on the back of their mektoub, always on the move...
Sleeping under the Atysyan sky, all was good.

Needless to say trading in such a hard landscape comes with many dangers, the drought, the carnivores,the bandits. My parents understood this very well, they've been trekking the desert lik their parents did it before them, as did their parents parents did.

As soon i grew of age they sent me to Pyr. They knew of a school wich could refine the skills off a travelling trader. It included some basic economic skills, some crafting, some languages, but mainly how to defend yourself. This is the place where i picked up my 2H axe skills.
The institute was run by kamist monks. The trainig was pretty hard and required a lot of discipline. One of the students there was Spitadoor, a quiet guy, he realy never said a thing. His parents also were traders, but they travelled the roots mainly. It was clear something happened there when he was very young and he still had the mental scars from it.

One day we were assigned to assist a group of traders, going from Pyr to Zora. They needed to pick up a batch of silvio seed near Shooting Meadow, so a route thru Under Spring was planned. I was excited, i had heard much about the roots, but had never been there. Along with some other students, Spitadoor also got selected to join. All went well until the first night. We set up camp near deadtree stronghold. A schedule was made up who would keep guard. Because this was part of our training some students needed also to perform this task. I got paired with some old tryker and Spitadoor. We stayed close to the campfire.

I just noticed Spitadoor was stranger then ever. At some point he mumbled some words and a spell was cast from his daggers. The old tryker didn't have a chance, ...he slept. "Come", said Spitadoor. I think this was the first time i heard him speak at all. "We need to go to deadtree hole", he whispered. "There is something you must see..." I didn't have a clue what he was talking about or why he sabotaged the guarding task. I declined and woke the old tryker. The moment we could sound the alarm Spitadoor was already gone.

Some days later after the assignement, when we got back to Pyr, i saw Spitadoor again. He attented classes as if nothing had happened. I told my mentor what had happened, but he just smiled..."We knew this could happen, we thought he was ready..."

Clearly something was different with him after that, he kept talking about the great monolith, nobody had a clue what that was all about. He was cheerfull and talkative, a whole other person. I say nobody, but every night i had a feeling he was in my dreams, showing me the monolith, talking about goo. He was in my dreams for so long i got to like him very much, he became part of me.

I finished my training some years later. Sadly enough both my parents died before they could see me graduate. Cherkin got them...

I took over their business and business was good. I sleep under the stars again and embrace the desertwinds. The only thing what i need to know right know is: ... what answers lie in the goo wich Spitadoor kept telling me about]]>

A client, data and server patch and a restart of the game server are planned on May 2nd, 2018 in order to implement the following additions and fixes:

Changes for all clients:

  • Expanded the account name size for login input (from 12 to 20 chars) and account password (from 20 to 60 chars).

Fixes for all clients:

  • Fix of a bug in the last patch.
  • Fixed the text and size of the window warning when you open German universe for the first time.

Server fixes:

  • Server now reads the correct AI data, so all running events and bosses will be back to normal after a reboot.
  • Fixed an issue which added an empty chat option when an item respawned on Atys.

Well...that's about all I can bother typing at the moment until I feel a little better. Hoping ibuprofen will help good enough at least.

The server is is Ryzom-specific, but ALSO used as a common community for peopel from all over (and all games, communities) etc. But mainly Ryzom obviously because of the features it will entail mentioned below.

Also, if someon can edit this into the other forum languages for me that'd be sweet.

I will be setting up RSS/API/Ryzom Bots etc as soon as possible which means; for our guild specific channels - forum posts like #announcements for example - will automatically appear in that specific channel and so on. And then there'll be RSS feeds linked to non-guildie forum annoucements etc aswell obviously... API/Bot features will mean that you can use any in/out-ofgame app within the server by just typing a quick </command <whatever>> <Bot answers: <This and that> ---

At the moment I only have an 8-player pokemon battle bot there (which I just HAD to setup immediately when browsing public bots, haha. havn't actually played with it with anyone yet though, bet it must be sort of fun though) ---- These are just some of the many features that the server will entail/feature.

There are also voice channels. "#mature-general" for those who prefer less "chatter" like in universe that I'd have to give people specific roles/permissions to access aswell (same with guild channels obviously). So no one can spy on other guilds (except me since I'm admin, LOL)

Discord is alot more efficient than forums and rocket.chat also.... Especially with above mentioned features I will be implementing ASAP.--- Please read all "pins" as soon as you find out how to find them/check info/announcements etc to see latest developments on the server or any other announcements.

Obviously NPC hunts, season changes and so on and so on will all be automatic aswell, when I'm done. For now I have manually announced season changes etc though. I am going to try and get some sleep (food first though!) But I hope as many as possible join in on the epicness! There is a webapp aswell as desktop version (+ for phones) so you can get pinged for announcements/npc hunts/OP battles or whatever you prefer/set up for your specific needs. This is all pretty easy and I will create tutorials for those who are not experienced whatsoever with IT-related stuff.

Discord is very "noob"-friendly anyhow. It's the new "MSN"/"Skype"/"Mumble"/"IRC&qu ot; etc etc all merged into one though, so to speak - so I really do recommend it. Also, the more people that join, the easier it gets for me to develop/further implement/adapt/edit/improve on the server features aswell as channel/bot/API/RSS features etc.

Thanks for taking the time to read all this and I hope to see you all there, and eventually the whole (except the players I hate) of Atys in there (although yes, even them)

Regarding "Leave team", I've cursed the interface designer more than once. If you're trying to loot a mob and the corpse disappears, the very next option in the menu is "Leave team".

Simply moving the menu entry further down would solve this problem..

Would be cool imo, maybe just second or even bottom of the list. Eventually you learn to be fast to invite tank or looter back, but it's just fixing symptoms =P]]>

BMSite has had an option to filter for ages, it's called "search". I fail to see why Ryzom would not have something similar, e.g. the ability to select all flags with the same category (boss, tribe, amber etc).]]>

 WRT to Auto-launchers: They are already doing the equivalent of burst-fire. An automatic weapon cannot do burst fire because it is already firing at full rate.

True... who knows, maybe the autolaunchers can secretly switch firing modes and we haven't known this all along~♪]]>

...or staff. Staff can have insane amount of charges for the echangement (I believe the most out of all types of weapons), cheaper to make, cheaper to get, "cheaper" to maintain.

The issue, well main one anyway ... twice the amount of crystals ... twice the amount of credits, twice the amount of damage taken if something catches up to you as it takes twice as long to kill due to lack of the amp's boost.

And yes, twice is rounded as I am assuming we talking 1.84 (84% amps) - 1.97 (97 % amps)

And I agree with Gidg ... recommend rifle as 1st Ranged Skill]]>

Une fois full crafteur Q250,pouquoi ne pas avoir automatiquement un bonus de 150 au lieu de 125 pour un craft normal.

Possibilité aussi quand on fabrique un outil de craft.Que cet outil a un bonus de vie plus grand.

Les auras de combat durée plus longue pour ceux qui sont full Q250 en disciplines de combats.
Possibilite d'avoir un enchantement Hemoragique pour les full Q250 en combat.

Et de meme auras de magie plus longues pour ceux qui sont full Q250 en branches magie.

Avoir 50 points ou plus de bonus de vie quand on est ful Q250 en war.Avoir un bonus de seve en plus en magie,et de concentration quand on est full Q250 forage.
Et pourquoi pas pour obtenir ces 50 points ou plus.Faire une encyclopedie pour y avoir le droit de les obtenir.Encyclopedie accessible uniquement au full Q250 par disciplines finies.
