If you design the game for a low population, then you will get... a low population.
Same with Ring, they were afraid that everyone would end up playing in Ring, and not on mainland, so they nerfed the whole thing with that Knowledge Points system. Result, not many people playing the Ring, just as intended.

Merchant camps on the road are a good idea for revitalizing things. :)

What is Schwarzmarkt?
The so-called Schwarzmarkt was originally created as an opportunity to trade from homin to homin without paying a fee to the official merchants at their stalls and without filling the treasury of governments with taxes. Of course, we don't support criminal activities and since the laws of trade became more liberal since that time, it is not illegal anymore, but we want to keep the name and the atmosphere of it. The original idea came from the guild Rebellen von Loria who also organized the first sixteen Schwarzmarkts. Later this tradition was continued by The Free Soul.
At the Schwarzmarkt homins – in general the crafters themselves – offer goods to be sold by public sale. Bids are only allowed in dappers. The highest bidder gets the item in exchange for the dappers directly at the location of the Schwarzmarkt.

How does the process of the Schwarzmarkt look like?
The Schwarzmarkt is located in a cave in the Darkmoor (at the dead end of Windermeer). There will be a trek form Fairhaven to the location fifteen minutes before the market starts. The offers will be called according to their quality starting with goods of q100 ending with q250. Bids have to be done in around. The auction will last about three hours.

Which goods can be sold?
Generally, all tradable items can be sold. These are:
# equipment (weapons, armor, jewels, tools)
# items from outposts (materials, flowers, xp-booster)
# special items (yubo-plushies, candy canes, items from the wheel of fortune, NPC crafting crystals,…)
# profession items
All items must have their full hp. In exceptional cases, lower durability has to be announced before the auction. Raw materials generally are disclosed.

How you can offer goods?
If you want to offer something at the Schwarzmarkt send an ingame mail (shift+W) to Varo. This mail minimally should contain the following important information:
# vendor (if not the sender of the mail)
# (full) name of the item (land, layout (hq, mq, lq))
# quality (q250, q220,…)
# durability
# important data/values? (dodge, parry, damage, speed, resistance,…)
# desired starting bid
We will have a critical look at these items and tell the vendor if they will be offered at the Schwarzmarkt. Items with lower values may be disclosed. We will also have a look if the items fit the rest of the offers. Our goal is to have many different items in different qualities so that both the “small” refugee with his small purse and the veteran of many years and dapper millionaire can find something.
Sometimes it has been possible to offer items spontaneously. If you choose this way, you have to be aware that your item maybe could not be considered – registered items have a higher priority.

When will the Schwarzmarkt happen?
Target date of the 23rd Schwarzmarkt is:

Friday, January 3rd 2020, 17:00 GMT, 19 CET


This would offer you enough time to collect dappers and/or to craft beautiful and useful items.

Azazor si ton but est de monter vite les renommées, je pense que tu ferais mieux d'aller voir directement les tribus ciblées et faire leurs missions qui augmentent le plus fortement la renommée (de type exploration/livraison).
Les daily missions semblent intéressantes pour leur récompenses additionnelles (dont le choix "dappers" me semble faible), avec un moyen de filtrer pour ne pas risquer de casser les réputations que l'on a monté ou descendu.

Oui je sais, mais c'était pour avoir le beurre et l'argent du beurre. ;)]]>

“Catch up with Ronny” is a mounted race around the whole of Atys, 250 level regions included.
Reward: For the first three, a title and the brand new mektoub zig. The winner will also receive a voucher to register his favourite animal in the national registry under the name of his choice.

Atysmas Jigsaw Puzzles

A snowman has cut one large picture into 60 fragments and keeps them on him. During the time of Atysmas, he visits each of the tribes of Atys in turn, Prime Roots included.
Go looking for him to collect a fragment and try to rebuild the images!

Event's location: All around Atys, Prime Roots included.
Game's rule:
Click on the snowman that randomly pops into a tribe every 30 minutes to win a picture fragment. The fragments you win appear in a special window, gradually completing the puzzles.
The snowman remains in game for 20 minutes and reappears (with a random picture fragment) every 30 minutes. You can find out if a snowman is in game by consulting the small window of the “Dynamic Events”.
Reward: Atysmas tokens for each snowman found, choice tokens for each new picture fragment discovered and excellent tokens for each puzzle completed.

Atysmas storytelling assembly

It's cold. In the distance a choir sings and snowflakes fall softly on the bark. What better way to warm up and share moments of emotion than with a place by the campfire and stories.

Come and join Atys dreamers in Atysmas village, on 15h - Tria, Floris 21, 3rd AC 2606(*).
The Lutrykin Storyteller will host the meeting.
Homins will take turns telling their tales, songs or poems or simply listening to this fun, sometimes instructive and sometimes meditative mix.
The Lutrykin Storyteller will close the meeting with his own story.
All storytellers will receive the title of Atysmas Storyteller for one year.

Spirits of Atysmas are trapped in snowmen, all aroud Atys. Free them so that they can join the Grand Atysmas Faerie and bring forth the most beautiful of yubos: Yubohoho!

Event's location: All around Atys except Prime Roots and then Matis Arena.
Game's rules:
Four collectors, one per nation, appeared in the Matis Arena. Fill each of them with 100 Spirits of Atysmas, prisoners of snowmen scattered on Atys. You can see the status of each of the collectors by clicking on them.
When all four collectors are full, let's you gather all in the Matis Arena to talk to the Grand Atysmas Faerie and try to collect the gifts.
Get rid of unstable gifts and then of the massive gift. Then you will see the most beautiful of yubos appear: Yubohoho.
Once it is at your feet, do not delay too long to come and quarter it or the fairies will quickly carry it away to resurrect it.
Reward: Supreme yubo materials of 270 quality.]]>

a) You can buy faction death penalty reduction and now those that don't subscribe to the higher powers can too.  Cool.

b)  You can buy names for your animals.... Ok cool, not forced on anyone.

c)   Ok I like the naming thing ... but if we gonna have names .... we gotta have colors .... How much for hair dye ?

3.  Lore ... not really interested.

As to concerns expressed ... let's look at this.

To earn 36 products, for NH fair to say a time investment of 1-2 hours.  That would earn you ...

100 Fame = 7200 faction points / 360,000 dappers
 50 Fame = 1800 faction points / 180,000 dappers

I never liked this arrangement ... wasn't really fair to neutrals, rangers and marauders.  Seemed that a fairer way would be to allow  each person to spend half their total fame:

100-75-25 could spend the 100 ... 100% x 36 mats in nationn that they were 100 in ... 1 visit / all done .... or 75 in one spot / 25 in another

50-50-50-50 guy could spend 50 in 2 lands or 25 in 4 lands.

Using Bubba's numbers, if I did math right, old way was 100 QL500 crystals would cost you 1100 points.  A days NH would net you @ 650 crystals.

The new way you can get on average 12 Elypsies (depending on settings) per mission for 7 missions... so you'd get 700 crystals.   ... pretty much same thing.  Tho if you set no fame restrictions, you get 18 per mission or just about 1050 crystals.  So yes potentially more lucrative ... but you not getting fame, you not getting dapper (other than what mission gives you anyway).

I haven't experienced any "lengthy tasks". I hit the scroll icon, I see 7 missions and I choose which ones I wanna do. It's easier, well better said "less time intensive", than the normal a) find NPC b) take mission c) Go do stuff d) bring back to that BPC again .... is reduced to just c) and d), so far, I usually knock of all 7 in 30 minutes or so. Today I only did 6 as I decided I didn't want to do one of them cuz it was kill a tribe.

A brief description does appears on the Daily Mission window, you click it and you get a full description. Don't wanna do it, abandon the mission. Change ya mind, retake it. Not only that, the map shows you who you have to deliver to. No searching all over the region to find those wandering NPCs.

As to the faction picks, I stopped using them .... are they actually gone or are they just not purchasable any more ? Can you still buy with FP ? Can you do the original delivery missions ? If they have in effect been removed from purchase ... I imagine they could be restored or made available thru the original tour procedure.

When I visit the NPC, he's basically offering the same items through faction points (left click) or elipsies (right click). I haven't actually spent any cause I have so few of each left that.

Isn't the NH / Occupations thing still working as it was. I haven't found a reason to do occupations for about 2.5 years. When I did, I mostly did scroll maker as the Q70 scrolls sold for far more on the market than NH paid .... especially w/ 50-50-50-50 fame. But I talk to folks most days who are running Occs / NH but not as part of Daily Missions.

The problem for me is, and I have said this often. There's a mindset in every industry were having experts write manuals is believed to be a good idea .... and that's why no one in the world every had the correct time on their VCR and everyone struggles assembling their furniture bought at IKEA.

Every software manual begins with "Open the [ xxxx ] Window and ...." wait how do I open the [ xxxx ] Window ... WTH is a [ xxxx ] Window ?

I find it nice that we now have more options. I like that this, so far, appears to treat players with different approaches to game more equally. A significant number will be dismayed by that ... the ole "I deserve more because ..." thing.

My issue, in reference to the economy again, is not that any path has been devalued .... it's that I have nothing to spend the rewards on.

-Cats ? = More ways to get cats ? Each week after the NPC Hunt, we can't give them away.

-Wundahmat = It's OK, I like the no bulk thing for completing craft missions. The T & E required to get the wundahmat is far far greater then just digging ... and far more lucrative.

-Names for animals ... this I like, and if hair dyes were added it would be a kick. I have this image in my head of the movie "Earth Girls are Easy" and the brightly colored aliens ... tho on Atys Id prefer more of a subdued tint.

- Iron Ons ! ... Remember iron on images for T-Shirts ? I'd spend a few elipsies on s one time sigil that I could apply to a shield or breastplate. Once used, it's gone.

Most of all the Dailies give you something else to do ... options ... other ways to do things. I didn't really look at them with regard to the economy ... my problem has never been earning, but having something to spend it on.]]>

Je ne sais pas si cette lettre vous parviendra mais je prends une chance. J'ai croisé par deux fois un drôle d'izam nommé Hiro, complètement perdu. Il m'a parlé de vous, comme d'une amie. Je l'ai aperçu pour la dernière fois au bar d'Yrkanis. Il risque de remonter vers le désert ou de tenter de descendre chez les trykers. Mon instinct me dit que vous le trouverez donc au bar de Fair Haven, Pyr ou Thesos. J'ai tenté de lui expliqué comment se rendre chez les Zorai, sans succès.

Dans la cadre de l'écriture d'un nouveau livre sur les curiosités du désert, j'invite tous les volontaires à participer à quelques recherches. Des petites, des grosses, il y en a pour tous les goûts. Vos noms seront cités quand l'ouvrage sortira.

- Que voyez-vous sur les 3 types de totems du désert? Quels types d'animaux? Je ne parle pas des totems kamis.

- Ces totems sont-ils aussi présent dans d'autres régions que le désert, et si oui où? Je sais qu'on en trouve en primes racines par exemple, mais il faudrait répertorier les régions, et même les lieux dits.

- Pouvez-vous prendre des lucios de restes ou d'images d'animaux non répertoriés? J'ai déjà les peaux qu'on trouve dans la forteresse de thesos, l'animal à corne des routes du désert et le crâne à deux cornes des étables.

- Voyez-vous quelque chose de particulier dans les symboles présents sur les murs avenue arispotle et cerakos? Un symbole déjà vu ailleurs?

Status of ongoing projects: Range weapons

The balancing of the range weapons is very advanced. It is however difficult to test because it is necessary to have access to raw materials, and especially it is difficult to reproduce the conditions of the Atys server (Outpost battles, PvP, hunting). That's why we chose an alternative solution, to make sure that this branch takes its place in the gameplay again, without making the magic and the classic melee obsolete. Make no mistake, the change will have a significant impact on the armed strategy, but it should not make your master axe level unecessary.
We have therefore planned a three-phase implementation:
   • addition of basic ammunition to the gun dealer, patch of the modification of the space taken by the ammunition in the bag (bulk);
   • patch of the modifications tested on Outpost battles and evaluation on Atys (a topic will be created on the forum to collect your feedback);
   • final adjustment patch after analysis of forum feedback.
We do not yet have a precise timetable for these phases, but we will communicate them later.

Q: In the absence of a schedule, do we know what the main changes to the shooting are?
A:
it is a general balancing, the purpose of these modifications was to improve the attractiveness of the branch, which already suffers from the obligation of drilling and crafting to level and, most of all, from the fact that some weapons were clearly devalued, even obsolete.
It is difficult to give details of the changes: everything (or almost everything) has been moved. But not weapon by weapon, rather as a whole.


Q: So no modification of the proper operation of the shooting, but rather power adjustments?
A:
Power, range, firing rate, ammunition weight and also activation of bonuses on weapons and ammunition that have been inoperative until now.

Q: So, the materials will have an influence on the performance of the shooting?
A:
Much more than before, yes. The use of excellent and supreme materials, until now useless, will become interesting as a result.

Q: Will it be easier and faster to practice with the new shooting system than with the old one?
A:
Easier, yes. Because you will be able to buy ammunition from the merchants (“basic” ammunition but sufficient to level in the branch).

We've been working on Ryzom's new website for quite a while now. It will replace the old website on www.ryzom.com some time in december. We have come along pretty well and we want to show you a preview and ask for your opinions.
A few more words: the preview is not yet translated and therefore will only show english text. Also, some links (especially to account-management, signin, registration, etc.) are not yet functional. The "events" section is not yet fully functional too and shows placeholders.

Q: Do the forum links point to the new version? Will they be modified to point to what we see there?
A:
What you see there was a test to see how the header and footer of the new website could look on the old WebIG. The links will be put on the forums when the website goes live.

Q: Nice work. I only find the size of some fonts too large, perhaps because of the resolution of my screens. Are these sizes definitive?
A:
The page is optimized for full hd, which you are using, so that should not be an issue. The page also responds to smaller screen sizes and should work on tablets and phones too.
However, I will take a look at it and tinker with the sizes a little bit. Maybe you're right.


Q: Will the new site be tested by the Test Team before release online (December is close and testing take some time…)?
A:
I do realize that. I am currently working on administrative tools so the website can be translated and filled with actual events and news.
As for the testing part, nothing is scheduled yet, but a meeting with the Test Team, Cotare, Ulukyn and Tamarea will soon be held to discuss it.

Kami-blast happening in Loria

Group foraging sessions have led to the occurrence of Kami-blast in Loria. These sessions were organized by a strange tryker named Heernis. This tryker being part of a guild following the Kamis, it seems even stranger. In any case, calm has returned to Loria and you can harvest there quietly.

The 30 bulk kinda made sense to prvent hoarding ... so i thot that was appropriate.
As one who doesn't see the point of hoarding cosmetic items, I think 20 bulk would've been better. Now, if the stats on them were better then yes, but as it stand I don't think the boosts on them were sufficient to warrant 30 bulk.

I agree, 30 bulk is way too much. I think 0 bulk is more appropriate, and make the items vanish after the holiday is over! No reason to hoard, and you get a cool item for the season to show off. It is really useless anyhow with the poor stats, then you get something to look forward to next year! :D]]>

It's all about the abilities of the players. The equipment is the basis. How and when you use it is the skill. Knowledge and choices are what make PvP, even more like most other games. Because here everyone can potentially do the same thing - so there is a maximum of balance. So there is only the randomness of the combat system and the decisions of the individual player. No more and no less.

Ultimately, it's this "I'm the best anyway" - "I already know everything anyway" or "individual abilities don't do anything anyway" that prevents any personal progress.

McRakley was a fisherman of the old Trykoth, long before the first Great Swarm. His tribe, located in a small coastal village in Breneth Bay, lived mainly from the pearl trade.

He had two twin sisters, Ruddie and Rebbie, two years older than him, with whom he spent most of his time diving into the surrounding shores to collect pearls and shells.

He loved diving terribly. But... he also dreamed of other horizons.

One day while wandering through Breneth Harbour, he heard about a mysterious little creek well beyond their usual fishing grounds, infested with prakkers and home to a gigantic marine creature, it was said. Others claimed that it was the den of a witch who had denied Jena and turned to Kami demons.

From then on, his interest was aroused and he convinced himself that the place must have been full of rare pearls. Even his sisters, who were usually much more reasonable, could not resist the desire to explore this place, cursed or not. So, on Frutor's last day, they left the village at dawn on their fishing boat and set sail for their mysterious destination.

The afternoon was coming to an end when they saw the creek, clearly recognizable by the very high broken arch cliff overlooking the access to the small cove. A victorious smile illuminated their faces.

But when they arrived a few dozen steps from the ark, they were worried. The waves had suddenly become darker and agitated with eddies.  

- the prakkers! They said in unison, a trace of fear in the voice.

Attracted by the newcomers, they headed for the boat and soon surrounded it. In front of them, a more massive individual blocked the passage and regularly pulled his head out of the waves to threaten them with his sharp-toothed jaws.

But McRakley and his two sisters held on. Putting away their oars to avoid hurting or annoying the prakkers, they let the wind do its work. Finally the great prakker plunged into a great crash, and McRakley feared that he would rise violently to capsize the frail boat and throw them into the bubbling waves. Preparing for the worst, he grabbed his fishing knife firmly, quickly imitated by his sisters.

But the great prakker did not reappear. Soon they crossed the threshold of the ark and immediately their escort lost interest in them, turning back.

As soon as the boat was secured on the narrow beach, McRakley grabbed his knife and dived towards the nearby cliff, ignoring the grumbling of his sisters who were busy setting up camp. Used to small coves like these, he soon found some beautiful specimens. He was about to go up again when his attention was drawn to a bright white glow on the bottom of the water.

It was actually a good-sized pearl, almost entirely embedded in the bark. Armed with his blade, he cleared it not without difficulty, trying not to chip it, before coming up to the surface to catch his breath.

He swam to the beach, too eager to show his discovery to his sisters! But they were in conversation with a fairly tall tryker homina, whose purple hair waved down to her lower back, which was more than unusual.

He didn't know why, but he felt he shouldn't show the white pearl to the stranger, so he slipped it into one of his pockets.

The homina turned to him and nodded his head as a greeting:
- Hi, I'm Locna. You're not the guests I was expecting, but come to my place, I'll prepare you a hot meal. The night is cool here when the wind rises.

Without waiting for their answer, she headed for a small bark growth, and McRakley soon found himself on a fairly steep trail, cracking along the cliff. Looking up, he could see, far up at the top, the sparkling glow of a campfire. It took them half an hour to reach the camp and it was now dark night, the sky was dotted with countless stars. McRakley, like his sisters, had had a tough day: he was starving and thirsty.

Locna invited them to sit down, which they did without being asked twice.

- I'll get you a fish broth, don't move. And *meaning a tray by the fire* don't touch these breads, they are for my other guests.

On these words, she disappeared into the large tent that was to serve as her reserve. Patience was not McRakley's cardinal virtue. His avid gaze turned to the appetizing pastries left to cool.

- Mack No! whispered his sisters in chorus.

But he had already taken a pair of these rolls and put them in his mouth without any other kind of trial. That's when Locna came back and caught MacRakley in the act. He had the good taste to look shameful, but Locna was not touched in the slightest by it.

Suddenly, she grew bigger, bigger, bigger, even bigger than the size of a zorai, her eyes became colored with a greenish shade. Her purple hair, now tinged with scarlet and black, rose up, framing her pale and rabid face. With a deep and hoarse voice, she cried out:

- What have you done, you idiot! Hold him back, sisters!

McRakley sketched a retreat, preparing to protect his sisters. He turned to them and froze. Like Locna, their skin had turned grey, and their eyes had changed. They walked towards him with muffled growls and extended their hands. Their purplish fingers bristling with long, tapered claws.

He felt Locna's breath on his neck and threw himself to the side, rushing towards the beach path. But giants blocked his way. Three monstrous Zorais, whose sinisterly shaped masks wore bloody tattoos, lifted long sticks that threw blue flashes of lightning.


Trapped! Trapped!


He turned around, desperately looking for another way out. His sisters were on him. Rebbie embraced his body and grabbed him with strength, while Ruddie held his legs together, immobilizing him. Locna, on the other hand, continued her slow approach, confident of her victory.

In a final surge of energy, he gave a violent head butt to one, and an avalanche of punches to the other, until he was released from their grip. Then he charged in the only direction he had left, without thinking, running straight ahead, blindly, until he lost his breath. He did not need to turn around to know that the monstrous pack was on his heels, as their screams became more and more angry and sharp.

Suddenly, a movement on the ground caught his eye but too late: tangled roots had risen out of the bark and made him lose his balance. He felt his sap flowing down his arm, but strengthened his will and stood up again to resume his frantic run. But nothing awaited him at the end of the road but despair: cornered on the edge of the precipice, he had only two options: turn around or jump.

He looked at his pursuers. They had stopped, on the lookout. Locna and his sisters addressed him with their deep and gloomy voice:

- come... with... ussss.... !

With tears in his eyes, he bade his farewells to his sisters, then threw himself into the void, ready to sell his life at a high price. His sudden arrival in the water reminded him how bruised his body was. His arm injury was throwing him terribly.

But it was McRakley's least of his concerns. Attracted by the sap, three dark forms moved towards him, quickly followed by others. They were on him, it was over, he was sure of it. But they wouldn't get away with it without a blow.

It was then that the agitation spread to the aqua-predators. Suddenly, blue flashes of lightning spread through the water, knocking out some prakkers and driving others away. And despite the poor clarity of the stars, McRakley could see the terrible beast that was coming at him: he had only escaped the prakkers to be chased by a gigantic white baldusa.

Dodging the masterful beast, he made a long cut with his knife on the left flank. She rumbled and her reaction did not take long. Lightning struck the water again, and McRakley was suddenly tetanized. Unable to swim or breathe, he sank to the depths, his eyes riveted on this majestic creature.

And as she rushed towards him, with her jaws open, he chose to close his eyes and abandon himself to his tragic destiny.

McRakley opened his eyes. He could feel the warm sawdust against his skin. Not far away, his two sisters were yapping as they gutted fish. He perceived a close and startled presence. Locna stood beside him, holding in his hand a cloth soaked in a mixture with a pungent smell.

- You...

His two sisters turned their heads towards him when they heard his voice. Visibly relieved, they got up and nevertheless left to settle further away, ostensibly turning their backs on him.

- what...

- Shhhhhh. Not a word, you need to rest. But the next time I say don't eat a dish, listen to me. Those are not for you.

Reward: Lightning Wall aura. For one minute, reduce an opponent's melee skill levels by 20. If you also do the bawaab rite ( much easier and shorter ) this increases to 30 levels. There isn't much detail on how this actually works in practice. The info on the aura currently says it decreases the opponent hand to hand by 30 levels, which would make it generally only useful against mobs not players, 'cause you don't pvp with your fists. But I'm not sure. Many players will say it reduces all opponent melee attacks by 30 levels.




1. Do the prerequisite missions as described in https://en.wiki.ryzom.com/wiki/Kincher_Rite

-note: Ba'Duffy Dappan and Ba'arppy Jidgen are hunters in Fount and Resting Water, respectively. They are not super easy to find. Make a target macro for them, they can roam just about anywhere in those regions.


2. all prerequisites complete ( check encylopedia/kinchers ), go see npc Ana Ryon who is in the Kitin's Lair entrance, which is in the ranger camp in Almati Wood. She will start the rite and send you to see npc Dixie Keele in Lagoons of Loria.

-note: Ana Ryon also starts the Kizoar Rite, so make sure you pick the Kincher Rite if two rites are available from her.


3. Dixie Keele is due east of Avendale portal in Loria. You can see a blue flag on your map, marking her spot. There are some safe water ponds at the spot, but there is a huge amount of aggro. Find her, go past her into the pond just east of her, and approach her as close as possible without leaving the water. Don't try to talk to her on land with invul: she has a lot to say and stuff to give you. Activate her dialog from safely within the water. Make sure to read her instructions, and make sure you get 4 empty phials. She will send you to a new spot near the entrance to Loria Ponds area, a bit north of where you are now, which will also be marked with a blue flag.

-note: She has been stung by a kincher and is in excruciating pain. She screams a lot. But that doesn't concern you - you have a rite to complete.


4 Leave Dixie, go to the flagged spot to wait for the huge named kincher Gerder. Getting there will advance the mission telling you to target Gerder. You can wait there for Gerder to arrive to target her, but that can take hours. Alternately you can go look for Gerder and target her anywhere in Loria. She will be along the poop locations shown in the accompanying diagram "http://arxan.paunix.org/kincher.jpg"


5. Once you find and target ( click on ) Gerder, a 30 minute countdown timer will start. You can do nothing for the rite while it counts down. Just wait, or do something else. You don't have to keep the target on Gerder. You don't have to keep following her at all. That step is over now.

-note: the 30 minute timer *does not* mean you have 30 minutes to find the first set of poop. It means you have to wait 30 minutes before any of the poop will be active for finding. This is annoying.


6. [THE HARD PART] When the timer has counted down and disappears, the poop hunt begins. Go to one of the spots on the accompanying diagram "http://arxan.paunix.org/kincher.jpg", and look for typical glowing green dig bubbles on the ground near the location. Those are the secretions. When you find one, don't dig, but equip one of the phials in your right hand, and just run over the bubbles. You can even do this on a mektoub so long as your phial is equiped in your hand.

Not every location will fill your phial. It is random. If nothing happens, move on to the next location. When you get to an active location, the phial will automatically fill with kincher secretion, it will turn greenish, and its name in your inventory will be 'gerder', You'll get a message saying a mission step is complete, and the 30 minute countdown timer will start again.

Wait again for thirty minutes, then equip another phial, traverse the poop locations again until you fill it.

Repeat until you fill all four phials.

Yes, because of the countdown timers, collecting kincher poop will take a *minumum* of two hours. On top of that, Loria is big and it is very hard to get to ( or even find ) some of the poop spots because of the aggro everywhere. The poop hunt is a long, dangerous mission step. It doesn't matter if you die or log off during this part, it took me several days to finally complete this part and it still worked. Remember - the 30 minute countdown timer means how long you must wait before you start hunting for poop. Once it the timer disappears, there is no time limit to how long you have to find the next set of poop and fill your phial.

-note: when i did it, the active locations happened from right to left on the map. The first one was close to the ponds, the second one closer to lake superior, the third on the south shore of lake superior, and the forth far west. I don't know if that always happens. I also don't know if more than one location at a time is active. )



7. When you have all four phials filled, mission will change and tell you to kill Gerder. Go do that. She'll be somewhere along the line of poop you are so familiar with by now. Might be a good idea to have a small team ready for this before filling the final phial, because some reports say that if another team kills Gerder after you have been ordered to kill her, the whole rite will fail and you'll have to start over. I have not verified this. But that would suck after spending so many hours collecing poop.


8. Gerder is dead. Go back and talk to Dixie Keele west of loria portal. She will send you back to Ana Ryon in kitin's lair. Phew, no more Loria.


9. Ana Ryon will tell you to take the secretions you collected, and venture deeper into the kitins layer to find 'The Source'. The Source is a big skull in the ground. It is found at the easternmost place on the map of kitins layer, past the cattle room and up and to the right. Give the secretion to the source, and run back down the tunnel because a load of kinchers will soon pop.


10. Now kill a great kincher. This can be the one that pops near the source if you like, but it has many minions that will all attack if you fight it. Another way is to just go back to cattle room, wait until the great kincher shepherd arrives with more herbivores ( 15 minutes or so ), wait until the shepherd kincher goes down a tunnel and is no longer near the protective kipees, and then kill it. That way you won't get swarmed.


11. Go back to Ana Ryon at the start of kitin's lair. She will give you your lightning wall aura. Yay you rock]]>
