Spoilt brats, go take an outpost.

I am new to the game, but maybe not everyone is keen on these battles ..

I am told that there used to be lots of cats around - so that was great for those who levelled with them - easy to tell others to do without. Sorry this just seems unfair to me.

I am a neutral player and do not take part in outpost battles (I did in a couple of cases for curiosity, though), and am not aligned to any guild. Yet I don't see that experience catalysts are denied to young players.

When arriving on mainland, you get some stacks of cats from the city welcomer missions, as there are always helpful players trekking you around the world, four of them available to you. That is far enough to cover your supply of q50 cats for a while, and gives you useful experience and valuable crafting plans, in addition.

Next step would be starting the "touring the camps" missions, available in all 4 countries for civ neutral players above nation fame of +10, or - with 2.5 times more nation points - in the country where you obtained citizenship. The first two camps, which are fairly easy to reach in all countries, give 250 (625) fp, enough for 250 (625) cats q50 or 125 (312) cats q100 (higher q not recommended to obtain that way). That is ways more than you need on a daily base for the beginning. With some experience, the full run to all camps can be done, especially easy in Fyros and Zorai lands, giving 2,200 (5,500) nation fp. I am doing the desert and jungle run in approx. 45 minutes (I am doing it for picks and sap crystals rather than cats).

Next step would be starting with occupations. There are 4 occupations around which do not need kitin lair visits. Level 4 may be achieved in bit more than 2 weeks on the optimal path allowing you to produce about 1500-1800 crystals a day. No need for pvp, no need for outposts.

Btw., at least on our server, guilds still use to give away cats q50-150 to young players. Beginners willing to stay and to join guilds are more valuable for guilds than stacks of cats.
