Our house is under attack by a band of brigands called Cynics of Liberty. These marauders claim to want nothing more than a friendly contest of wit, but my Lady assures me this is merely the opening gambit in a blatant attempt to steal our Twintops outpost! In response our Officer's Council posted defiant proclamations throughout the realms. I pray that all the citizens of the 4 nations stand united against these lawless ruffians.
As you can imagine, all our officer's are now preoccupied making preparations for the defense of our holdings. For my part, my mistress tasked me with organizing the various manuscripts, correspondence, treaties and musty tomes residing in the High Council library. Of late, Jola is a voracious reader of ancient lore. It is all I can do to keep up with her library requests. This affords little time to update my journal, however, rummaging amongst the multitude of papers revealed enticing details about the early life of my lady.
In the bottom of Jola's desk drawer I found two old letters; one from her reticent twin brother and another apparently from the twins adoptive mother:
