How about including a config-option like this (checked option = default)Show online status to:
● friends / guild
○ friends & guild
○ everybody
I appreciate that idea and hope that it can be implemented without too much effort.
Only, I don't understand the difference between "friends / guild" and "friends & guild".
Guildmates are always visible by online status in the guild window so there is no point to hide it in flist or notification. I would instead suggest the categories "guild only" (for the paranoics *eg*), "friends & guild", "everybody except ignored", and "everybody".
Meagon, I don't think there's anything about wiping the friends list in here, but I agree with not having to have someone on your list for them to see you as online (or vice versa).
