Few enough know me, for I am not important. For those who care, I am Lucence Freldo and my only family claim is distant relations to a cousin who works as a Royal Herald. This connection, however tenuous, must account for my tendancy to speak out regardless of how trivial or unimportant are judged my final words.
My knowledge comes from employment as a handmaiden to Lady Jola(Arispotle), whom you may know as leader of the house of Armageddons in Yrkanis. It is mostly about her that I will write. Although she has graciously given me permission to publish my journal, rest assured that this is not an authorized biography of Lady Jola. My mistress seldom volunteers much about her past, and less still about her future plans. Moreover, I am not privy to the Armageddons' Officer's Councils, and so I claim no special insights about our tribes' plans or politics. However, my close association with my mistress affords occassional opportunities to learn how her life thread entwines through the forest glades of Atys. Such details are fascinating to me and I will share them with you in the haphazard order in which I encounter them. I apologize in advance if the story meanders or is out of sequence.
