Maybe not insta-port you to the nearest respawn, but perhaps move you a few meters away from your current location, following a 30s delay. Immediately reusable, since it's more cumbersome to wait 30s for movement than it is to walk. Other games that have had this also attempted to walk your character away from where you are, just to make sure you really were stuck. A good idea!
