Sure it would be nice if all of those things could be preserved, I'm all for it. However it's a lot more work and this would be something that could be done immediately to improve the situation and not 2 years down the line.

Just had to have a dig didn't you? It's all a load of baloney I've heard too many times to care about anymore from all sides. There is _no_ good time for everybody during the week on this server, what would be a good time for you could be when I'm sleeping or working and vice-versa. This is why I'm trying to widen the window of time which is good for 'most everyone. So lets not go there in this thread.even when you guys schedule a battle for the middle of the working day during the middle of the week so fewer defenders can be present.

There can and has been actually, as battles consist of many phases which can stretch out over a long period of time, even if the fighting is over with.Currently the reboot happens close to 0400-0500 GMT on Monday mornings.
Not many battles lingering past that time.

This threat already exists, it makes no difference. If moving the reboot to the middle of the week, and it continues to wipe out settings, there is potential for abuse:
