Patch 3.5.0 brought with it many changes and implementations. Some for the better, others not so well regarded. The no longer civ-dependance of NH Transporters (they are now part of the Brotherhood of Fortunate Gubani) implies they no longer provide the same dapper rewards, they also no longer provide fame or civilisation points.
Even though it has been said other missions will be adjusted to compensate for this lost mechanism, there are some other ways in which you can use slightly leveled alts (or even yourself :o) to produce dappers, civ points and fame.
