In fact in all lands (even Aedan Aqueous) the source of water must be in springs and other sources, some greater than others, and the flow of water must largely be a matter of transport through some form of veins or other water-bearing tissue just below the Bark. Streams such as those that flow from Thesos Springs to Thesos are an anomaly, probably caused by compacted Dust near the surface.
