Its not so much that they disallow the modifications, as such they did not edit or remove any part of my original post.
i made changes to files that they control, at the very least i should have run it by them, which i see as a very valid response.
That does not change the fact that there is a lack of clarity that needs addressing, if not for this particular case then for potential future cases. At the very least give a point-of-contact to run things by.
As it stands, I'm not sure I feel comfortable renewing my sub now that there is some question about whether I can modify the client in ways that allow me to play without causing medical issues (specifically, SFX removal).
