I would be more generous than ten minutes, I'd give it half an Atys day before the kitin watch commander notices that Patrol Three is late enough to be worrisome and sends out another one.
Ideally, if there is a time that a KP goes from spawn and back to its spawn again, the respawn time would be the time left in the patrol plus a quarter of the day (because they might be a little late due to chasing pesky homins), but I suspect that might be a bit difficult to program.
