Something crashes down from the sky like a big falling star. It smolderes the ruins of Sandy Workshop to rubble. Lots of homins could find artifacts which could be made to work again - to some degree. Those were scanning some "frequencies" (whatever that actually means) and then synchronizes "data". I suppose that refers to messages. But we don't yet know what those messages were all about.
Then, the Karavan appear with engineers and the lot, and take everything that's alien to us. Probably they hauled it back into their ships and then went away quicker than we could follow.
This is all strange. Very strange. I have travelled far and wide. I have survived the Kitins during the second swarm somehow while I stayed behind, not following Elias through those weird rainbow portals. My mind still blocks of most of the memories of that period, which I must surely have. But yet all of these happenings are really ... unfathomable, alien.
What is it, that the Karavan are doing here? What is their agenda? I have yet to ponder about this. As of now I will not help the Karavan with any tasks they might want any help with as long as they do not disclose what it is they are doing here.
We homins must find ways to look beyond the surface of Atys. Maybe the Karavan live on the roots in the sky. But maybe they live even higher up - in the sky itself. Since the object was burning so intensely, it could not possibly start its descend from those upper roots. It must have come from farther away.
