An Open Letter to the Taliari of New Trykoth

A quickly scrawled note is posted beneath Zhoi's note.

Zhoi --

The two situations you describe in your letter are not parallel at all.

Please note that I posted my original note only in Fairhaven, not in Yrkanis, Zora or Pyr. Why? Because I am a Tryker of the sap and have my residence in Fairhaven and as such I have certain rights under the Constitution of New Trykoth. These rights include free speech.

I am a Tryker. I will be a Tryker even if I become a Ranger. I have a certain pride in my race and culture, even as I acknowledge that other races and cultures are worthy of support as well.

My posted letter was not an interference with the politics of another Nation -- it was not even an interference in the politics of the Tryker Nation. It was a rhetorical device -- a call to action on the part of the citizens of New Trykoth, my fellow Trykers in sap and also their guildmate Trykers by adoption. My letter here disrupted no meetings, made no demands, blamed no individuals, and pointed out the positive actions of Tryker non-citizens.

In short (*) I see no hypocrisy, no double-standard. I stand by my words as uttered in Ranger assembly and I stand by the words that I posted here in this public, Tryker, space.

-- Mac'Od Bittty

(*) Well, I am a Tryker -- it would have to be short.

==========

(OOC/HRP: The posting was also a way to point out to players who might not have known that the harvesting and delivery missions were paying out dappers.)
