Heh -- Of course there is the small matter that *I* resist Microsoft "best practices" with fervor. I have a few documents in Documents, but anything important is in a top-level directory that I created on my main disk. :)
I put my clients on the taskbar either by dragging the shortcut to the taskbar (for my secondary client) or by opening the program directory, right clicking on the executable and then selecting Pin to taskbar. I should note that since I do not share my computer that my personal account has admin privileges, which may make a difference.
