Future Operating System Compatibility

The problem with the UAC is that the UAC exists. If you turn it off, anything can run on (and potentially compromise) your machine. If you leave it on, pretty much everything has to be authorized except those programs that Win has made an exception for.

However, I'm not quite sure why you can't pin your shortcut to the taskbar. I have both of my clients set up that way and I'm running Win 7 Pro 64.

As for screenies, they've always gone into the program folder, even under XP. Logs go into the Save folder by default -- don't know how you got yours in the program folder. I would be very upset (and the machine would quickly get confused if logs and screenies went into my User folder. (Not to mention the fact that I wouldn't be able to find them.)
