IDEAS FOR RYZOM

slot upgrade for guild halls

Nonea -- this one is not a bulk upgrade but a "slot" upgrade.  All storage is limited both by the number of items and the bulk of the items.  We rarely notice the number limit because we get to the bulk limit much more rapidly in most cases.

An exception is when you are storing several sets (read: a dozen) of jewels for handing out to guildies.  Suddenly you find out that the number of slots is limiting (when combined with suits of armor and the usual stacks of materials).  The answer, of course, is to not store so many sets of jewels and armor.

Talkirc -- As Nonea has already pointed out, increased numbers of slots = more database space needed = increased time to load + increased cost for the server.  In case you think that can't be a problem, I am in another game where a similar storage scheme *became* a problem because nobody cleaned out their lists of "stuff."  That one was solved by a plea to the community, but the "stuff" was the sort of thing that should have been cleaned regularly anyway and people realized that.   Here, there will be a lot more resistance to "clearing out", so costs will go up.  How much?  I don't know; it might be so little as to make no difference, it might not.

And Talk, asking people not to comment in the negative will inevitably result in the suggestion receiving same (see current reactions), or in being ignored by the devs because it clearly is not a serious suggestion. (At least I would...)
