as some of you may or may not have noticed i have been moaning a lot about not being able to log in to ryzom after a recent update to mac 10.8.3. it turns out that i'm not the only one and at least two other people have contacted me since saying they have had the same issue and i seriously doubt we were the only ones.
it turns out that apple's new update and ryzom aren't really friends.. at all.. in fact they hate each other. it took me three days solid to sort out the problem and i'm not really sure i've actually "sorted" it.. i think i have just blagged it really.
anyways,
i have posted the solution that i found in my original "uninstall" post.. which is basically a hybrid of a solution i found elsewhere and some clever tricks from a car named mokoi (thoroughly decent chap).
so if, like me, you updated and are having the same problems i had, take a look and i hope it helps.
if you haven't yet done the apple update to 10.8.3 then i urge you not to bother.. unless of course you enjoy ripping your hair out whilst crying into your keyboard - both of those actions don't work, by the way, i tried.
pass this around to anyone you know that uses a mac and save them from the anguish i suffered!
