My recent upgrade to 3.0 on OSX did not go as smoothly as it might but Kervala and Siela helped me out with a fix.
The Problem:
Installer hung up on the progress window
The Reason:
Old version was downloaded from the App Store, new version from Ryzom.com
The Solution:
Abort Installation
Delete the old game (not the data) and rerun the Installer
Having waited for hours (Iheard it can take a while) the reinstall took about 10 mins.
Hopefully this will help other mac users who have a similar situation.
