Hamasoobi

To save me some typing ... You may be seeing peeps typing "\ Hamasoobi /" or "Hamasoobi" as a greeting in chats & asking / wondering what it means or where it came from. It's from Ryzom Beta years but has roots waaay older than that.

When my oldest son was 1 year old, he'd be amusing himself in the Living Room and I'd say be in the next room cooking or whatever. He'd suddenly get up, walk into wherever we were, thrust both hands in the air in a Y shape and yell "Hamasoobi". He'd then walk outta the room with the biggest smile on his face as if the best thing in the world had just or was about to happen.

We never did figure out what he was trying to say but friends and family picked up the expression as a good will wish. Like when someone said "Hey, we going to Atlantic City Casino tomorrow", we'd respond "Hey, Hamasoobi man".

During Ryzom Beta when someone said they were going trekking, boss hunting whatever, a few of us would respond "Hamasoobi".....as if "Good Luck man". It kinda "became a thing" for a while . So with my son graduating fm college in a week or so and coming home, I was reminded of those days and brought it back for nostalgia.
